Dosage for adults and adolescents aged over 12 years: Administer one spray into each nostril, 1 to 3 times daily as necessary. Discontinue use after 28 days of opening. Do not use continuously for more than seven consecutive days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
It’s essential to be aware that Otrivine Sinusitis Nasal Spray should not be used if you: Have an allergy to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in the spray, are allergic to other decongestants, have undergone recent neurosurgery, suffer from narrow-angle glaucoma, have chronic inflammation leading to excessively dry nasal passages, have an enlarged prostate gland, or have a rare tumour of the adrenal gland that produces high levels of adrenaline and noradrenaline. Moreover, if you are currently taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or have ceased taking them within the past 14 days, Otrivine Sinusitis Nasal Spray is not recommended for you. This product is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Similar to many other nasal decongestant products, Otrivine Sinusitis Nasal Spray may potentially cause sleep disturbances, dizziness, and tremors, particularly in individuals sensitive to such effects. If you encounter these symptoms, it’s advisable to consult your doctor promptly. To avoid exacerbating nasal congestion, refrain from using decongestants for more than seven consecutive days.
