About Noriday
Every day, at the same time, take 1 pill. Take the packs in a row without stopping, even if you’re on your period.
It’s critical to take the pill at the same time every day. If you are more than 3 hours late, you will not be able to use contraception.
Noriday is a form of progestogen-only mini pill. Its active ingredient is norethisterone, which changes the environment in your womb. This makes it harder for the sperm to reach an egg during ovulation and alters the lining of the womb so that a fertilised egg cannot develop. Noriday is an effective means of contraception.
Noriday can prevent pregnancy up to 99 percent of the time if used correctly. You may not be protected against pregnancy if you are vomiting or have severe diarrhea. Continue to take the pill as usual if this happens, but use a condom while you’re sick. If this lasts longer than 24 hours, you should take the same steps as if you missed a pill.
If you miss it by more than 3 hours, you will lose your contraceptive protection.
Noriday has no known side effects in the majority of women. Headaches, feeling sick or dizzy, mood swings, breast discomfort, or irregular periods are all possible side effects.
See the patient information leaflet for a complete list of side effects and how to use it correctly. If you have any concerns about side effects, please contact us through your Patient Record.
As soon as you remember, take the forgotten pill. Then, at the regular time, take the next pill. It’s possible that you’ll have to take two pills in one day.
You will not be protected against pregnancy if you do not take it within 3 hours of the usual time. Continue to take your pills as usual, but for the next two days, use a condom. You may need emergency contraception if you had unprotected sex during this time.
Noriday is safe to take while breastfeeding. There is no evidence that Noriday will have a negative impact on the production of breastmilk or a baby’s development.
There is no evidence that the progestogen-only pill, also known as a mini-pill, has an impact on your weight. Your weight may fluctuate during your cycle due to fluid retention and other factors unrelated to the pill.
Your periods may stop, become irregular, more frequent, or lighter while taking Noriday.
If you want to change your contraceptive pill, contact us through your patient record or make an appointment with your doctor to talk about it. If you are switching to a new pill, it is recommended that you do not take a break between packs, and you may need to use other contraceptive methods during the transition.
Micronor contained the same hormones as Noriday, but it is no longer available. Noriday is a medication that is given to women who have previously taken Micronor.
A Noriday prescription can be requested and paid for online. Even if you use an online doctor, you will need a prescription from a clinician before you can buy Noriday online because it is a prescription-only medication. Without a prescription from a regulated doctor service with professionally qualified and registered clinicians, you should never be able to buy the contraceptive pill online.
If you’ve already purchased your pill from us, you can request a new supply from your Patient Record if you’re medically eligible. Please send us a message in your Patient Record if you want to change your pill.
You should be able to take Noriday alongside other medicines. However, it is important that you let us know which prescription, over-the-counter medicines and recreational drugs you are taking so that we can prescribe Noriday safely.
NuvaRing, Evra Patch, combined pills, low-dose pills, and mini pills are among the contraceptives we offer. Take a look at all of our contraception options.
Condoms are an effective method of contraception that also protects against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Long-acting contraceptives, such as implants, the coil, and injectable contraception, are also available through your GP or family planning clinic.
