More Information

Always take this medicine exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, check with your doctor or pharmacist. For adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, the recommended dose is one 120 mg tablet daily, taken with water before a meal. This medicine begins to relieve symptoms within 1 hour and lasts for 24 hours. If your symptoms persist or worsen, stop using the medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.

If you are using other medicines alongside Treathay 30 tablets or 10 tablets, inform your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you are taking or have recently taken apalutamide for prostate cancer, as it may decrease the effectiveness of fexofenadine. Additionally, indigestion remedies containing aluminium and magnesium can affect how Treathay is absorbed. The active substance in each film-coated tablet is fexofenadine hydrochloride, with each tablet containing 120 mg, equivalent to 112 mg of fexofenadine. The other ingredients in the tablet core include microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, and povidone. The film coating consists of hypromellose (E464), macrogol (PEG 400), macrogol (PEG 4000), titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172), and iron oxide red (E172).

Like all medicines, Treathay 120mg tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. If you experience any of the following symptoms after taking these tablets, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately, as they may be signs of a serious allergic reaction: swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and difficulty breathing. Other reported side effects include common ones (affecting up to 1 in 10 people) such as headache, drowsiness, nausea, and dizziness, and uncommon ones (affecting up to 1 in 100 people) such as tiredness or sleepiness.
